Pond Creation and Development

EcoSurv were commissioned by EcoNorth ecological consultants with whom we have a partnership, to create a pond in an area of existing woodland and wetland within a local nature reserve managed by Northumberland Wildlife Trust. Because the area was within existing wetland habitat, there was no need to line the pond and as soon as excavation started the pond began to fill with water naturally.

EcoSurv’s land management team used their extensive knowledge and expertise in the creation of this project and were able with the use of mini excavators to get into the area without damaging any of the existing woodland features. Our team are well versed in this kind of work and under the watchful eye of our clerk of works the pond was completed on time, within budget and the commissioners were extremely pleased with the outcome.
